Kuolintietoaosten, a Finnish term, translates to "death notices" or "obituaries." These are official announcements or public statements regarding the death of an individual. Crucially, they often contained details about the funeral service, including the date, time, and location of the ceremony, as well as any specific requests for donations in lieu of flowers.

Online newspapers, funeral home websites, and social media can all serve as venues for sharing this information. The format and content can vary, with some notices being brief announcements while others are more extensive biographies celebrating the life of the deceased.
