Consumer disputes can be resolved through administrative channels, consumer advisory services, or courts. The system also supports specialized ombudsmen and advisory bodies for specific sectors and issues.

The kuluttajansuojalait framework implements relevant EU consumer rights directives, including provisions on contract terms, distance selling, withdrawal rights, product safety, and fair marketing practices.
