Kujundid

Kujundid is an Estonian design-focused initiative that emerged in 2018 with the aim of promoting contemporary Estonian creativity across various media. The project was founded by a collective of artists, designers, and technologists who sought to create a platform that showcases local talent and encourages collaboration between disciplines. Initially launched as an online gallery, Kujundid has expanded to host an annual design fair, publish a quarterly newsletter, and offer a marketplace for handmade and digital products. The organization also runs a series of workshops and mentorship programs aimed at helping emerging designers navigate the commercial landscape.

The name itself, which translates to “designs” or “patterns” in Estonian, reflects the initiative’s focus on the intersection of aesthetics and functionality. Kujundid is headquartered in Tallinn, and its activities reach a national audience as well as international partners through the European Creative Industries Network. The platform emphasizes sustainable practices and community engagement, regularly partnering with local universities and cultural institutions. Over the past decade, Kujundid has helped bring recognition to a number of Estonian designers who have since achieved international exposure.
