Kronosaurus
Kronosaurus is a genus of large marine reptile from the Early Cretaceous period, classified as a pliosaurid plesiosaur. It includes the well-known species Kronosaurus queenslandicus. Kronosaurus is among the largest known plesiosaurs, with length estimates commonly around 10 to 12 meters (33 to 39 feet), though some reconstructions suggest it could be larger. The animal had a massive skull with long, conical teeth and a relatively short neck, adaptations suited for a powerful bite and swift underwater predation.

Anatomy and adaptations: Kronosaurus possessed a large skull, robust jaws, and a body shape optimized for efficient
Ecology and habitat: Kronosaurus inhabited early Cretaceous seas of what is now Australia, in shallow to nearshore
Taxonomy: Traditionally placed within Pliosauridae, some recent analyses have proposed placing Kronosaurus in a separate family
