Kromiyhdiste

Kromiyhdiste refers to chemical compounds containing chromium. Chromium is a metallic element with the symbol Cr and atomic number 24. It is known for its ability to exist in several oxidation states, most commonly +2, +3, and +6. The chemical and physical properties of chromium compounds vary greatly depending on the oxidation state of the chromium atom.

Due to their toxicity, the use and disposal of chromium(VI) compounds are strictly regulated.

Chromium(II) compounds are less common and are typically strong reducing agents. An example is chromium(II) chloride (CrCl2), which is a widely used reducing agent in organic synthesis.
