Krakóvi

Krakóvi is a mid-sized city and the administrative capital of Lyria Province in the fictional Republic of Valoria. Located in the central lowlands of Valoria, it lies along the Sern River and functions as a regional hub for education, administration, and trade.

Historically, the site was settled in the 12th century as a market town. It expanded under the Valorian duchies, becoming an important crafts and textile center in the early modern period. In the 19th and 20th centuries Krakóvi industrialized and then shifted toward services, higher education, and research.

The city occupies a gently rolling landscape with temperate seasonal climate. It experiences four distinct seasons, with warm summers, cool autumns, and cold winters with occasional snow.

As of the latest census, Krakóvi has roughly 190,000 residents. It is governed by a city council elected for four-year terms, with a mayor as head. The economy is diversified: higher education, healthcare, logistics, light manufacturing, and information services. The nearby Valorian Tech Park supports start-ups and research collaborations.

Cultural landmarks include Krakóvi Cathedral (Gothic revival), the Old Town Hall, and the Riverside Promenade. The historic core preserves examples of medieval, baroque, and art nouveau architecture. The city hosts a summer arts festival and a winter market, attracting visitors from across the region.
