Kottikärryt
Kottikärryt, also known as wheelbarrows, are a simple yet essential tool for transporting materials. Typically consisting of a single wheel at the front, a deep open tray or basin, and two handles at the rear, kottikärryt are designed to be pushed and guided by a person. The wheel supports the majority of the load, allowing for easier movement of heavy or bulky items than carrying them by hand. They are commonly used in gardening, construction, and agriculture for tasks such as moving soil, sand, gravel, bricks, or harvested crops. The design allows for a significant leverage advantage, enabling a person to move a much greater weight than they could otherwise manage. The single wheel provides maneuverability in tight spaces, though it can make them less stable on uneven or soft ground. Kottikärryt can be made from various materials, including metal, wood, or plastic, with metal being the most common for durability. Their simple construction makes them relatively inexpensive and easy to maintain.
