Kosmoseõigus
Kosmoseõigus, also known as space law, is the body of international and national legal principles and regulations that govern human activities in outer space. It encompasses the legal frameworks that regulate the use, exploration, and exploitation of celestial bodies, satellites, and other objects beyond Earth's atmosphere. The development of kosmoseõigus began in the mid-20th century, notably marked by the launch of Sputnik 1 in 1957, which prompted the need for legal guidelines to address emerging space activities.
The foundational treaty of kosmoseõigus is the Outer Space Treaty of 1967, adopted by the United Nations.
Additional agreements expand on these principles, including the Rescue Agreement (1968), the Liability Convention (1972), and
National laws complement international treaties, establishing regulations for commercial and governmental space operations within individual countries.
Kosmoseõigus remains a dynamic field, adapting to technological advances and the expanding scope of human activities
