Koordinatenspezifität refers to the property of a system or measurement where the results are dependent on the specific coordinate system used for their description. In simpler terms, it means that if you change the way you define your reference points and axes, the numerical values you obtain for certain quantities might change, even though the underlying physical situation remains the same. This concept is particularly relevant in physics and mathematics, especially in fields like classical mechanics, electromagnetism, and general relativity.

For instance, when describing the motion of an object, its velocity and position will have different numerical values depending on whether you are observing it from a stationary frame of reference or from a moving one. However, the laws of physics governing its motion are typically formulated in a way that is independent of the chosen coordinate system, leading to the principle of relativity. This independence is achieved through transformation rules that relate quantities in one coordinate system to those in another.

In contrast, some properties might be intrinsically independent of the coordinate system, such as the distance between two points in Euclidean space or the magnitude of a vector.
