Koopiaism is a term that has emerged in contemporary political discourse to describe an ideology that emphasizes the creation of abundant, or "koopia," resources as a means of achieving social and economic equity. The word is a portmanteau of “koopia,” a concept borrowed from the philosophical works of 19th‑century thinker Max West, and “-ism,” indicating a systematic belief system. Proponents argue that by expanding the overall supply of goods, services, and opportunities—through advances in technology, automation, and sustainable production—societies can reduce scarcity‑driven competition and allow individuals to pursue diverse life paths without the constraints of traditional economic hierarchies.

Central to Koopiaism is the belief that incremental growth of productive capacity leads to decoupling of well‑being from resource limitations. Advocates point to emerging trends such as digital platforms, crowd‑funded open‑source projects, and circular economies as evidence that abundance is increasingly attainable. Critics contend that the model may overlook distributional challenges, overestimate technological solutions, and neglect environmental limits.
