Konformseks, also known as "conformity sex" or "compliance sex," refers to sexual activity that occurs primarily to meet the expectations, demands, or social norms of a partner rather than out of genuine desire or mutual consent. This concept often arises in relationships where one or both partners engage in sex to avoid conflict, maintain harmony, or fulfill perceived obligations, rather than for personal satisfaction or emotional connection.

The phenomenon can manifest in various contexts, including long-term relationships, marriages, or even casual partnerships. It may stem from societal pressures, gender roles, or individual insecurities, where one partner feels compelled to engage in sex to please the other, even if they lack interest. Conversely, it can also involve a partner acquiescing to avoid disappointment or maintain stability in the relationship.
