Konfliktarchäologie
Konfliktarchäologie, also known as conflict archaeology, is a subfield of archaeology that focuses on the material remains of past conflicts. It examines the evidence left behind by wars, battles, sieges, and other forms of armed struggle. This includes not only the weapons and fortifications but also the impact of conflict on landscapes, settlements, and civilian populations.
The discipline draws upon a variety of archaeological methods, such as excavation, survey, and analysis of artifacts.
Key areas of research within conflict archaeology include the study of military technology and tactics, the
