Kompresszálási refers to the process of compression, a fundamental concept with applications across various scientific and engineering disciplines. In its most general sense, compression involves reducing the volume of a substance, such as a gas, liquid, or solid, by applying external pressure. This reduction in volume typically leads to an increase in density and, in the case of gases, a rise in temperature and pressure.

In thermodynamics, the compression of a gas is a crucial process, often occurring in engines and refrigeration cycles. Adiabatic compression, where no heat is exchanged with the surroundings, results in a significant temperature increase. Isothermal compression, conversely, aims to maintain a constant temperature by removing the heat generated during the process.

This is achieved by identifying and eliminating redundancy within the data, allowing for more efficient storage and faster transfer times.
