Kolumnsummor

Kolumnsummor is the Swedish term for the column sum or vertical summation of numeric data. It refers to the aggregate total of all values in a vertical column of a data table, spreadsheet, or database table. The operation is fundamental in statistics, accounting, and any domain that requires summarising data by a categorical line of observation.

In spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or LibreOffice Calc, kolumnsummor is typically implemented by the SUM function. For example, the formula =SUM(A1:A10) returns the kolumnsum of the first ten rows of column A. Spreadsheet applications also provide a “AutoSum” tool that automatically inserts a cell containing the sum of the nearest contiguous block of numbers.

Beyond simple addition, kolumnsummor can be associated with other aggregate functions that operate along a column: AVERAGE, MAX, MIN, COUNT, MEDIAN, and STDEV.
