Kohézív

Kohézív is a term used in various fields, most notably in linguistics and physics, to describe the degree to which parts of a whole stick together or are related. In linguistics, it refers to the way sentences and paragraphs are linked together to form a coherent and unified text. This is achieved through various linguistic devices such as repetition of words, use of pronouns, conjunctions, and thematic continuity. A text with high cohesiveness is easy to understand and follows a logical flow of ideas. Conversely, a lack of cohesiveness can lead to confusion and a disjointed reading experience.

In physics, particularly in the context of liquids, cohesiveness refers to the intermolecular forces that hold the molecules of a substance together. This is the force of attraction between like molecules. For example, the cohesiveness of water is responsible for its surface tension and its ability to form droplets. Similar to linguistics, a higher degree of cohesiveness in a physical substance implies a stronger bond between its constituent parts, affecting its physical properties and behavior.
