Koelooms

Koelooms are a fictional species from the popular video game series "StarCraft". They are a sentient, insectoid race characterized by their hive-minded social structure and their impressive biological engineering capabilities. Koelooms are native to the planet Char, a harsh volcanic world.

The Koelooms are primarily known for their psionic abilities, which they use for communication, defense, and to control lesser creatures within their hive. Their physical forms vary, with specialized castes fulfilling different roles within the swarm, such as warriors, builders, and brood mothers. They reproduce through a process of larval development, with new Koelooms being "hatched" from eggs laid by the queen.

In the StarCraft universe, the Koelooms are often portrayed as a formidable and enigmatic enemy, driven by an instinctual urge to expand their territory and consume resources. Their technology is almost entirely organic, grown and shaped by their own biological processes rather than manufactured.
