Klondikeists
Klondikeists refers to individuals who participated in the Klondike Gold Rush, a period of intense migration to the Klondike region of the Yukon in northwestern Canada between 1896 and 1899. These prospectors, often referred to as stampeders, were driven by the hope of finding gold and achieving rapid wealth. The discovery of gold on Bonanza Creek by George Carmack, Skookum Jim Mason, and Dawson Charlie in August 1896 triggered the rush.
The journey to the Klondike was arduous and dangerous. Most stampeders traveled via the treacherous passes
Despite the challenges, thousands of Klondikeists flocked to Dawson City, which quickly grew into a boomtown.
