Common facilities such as workshops, kitchens, and meeting halls are typically located at the center, while private dwellings are modular units forming a lattice. The architectural ethic center on resilience, local material use, and low-tech construction.

Social organization tends toward participatory governance. Councils or assemblies include residents by consent or rotation, with decision-making emphasizing consensus or distributed authority. Education prioritizes practical crafts—carpentry, masonry, textiles—and cooperative logistics, resource management, and repair culture.
