Klassikers

Klassikers is the plural form of Klassiker in German and translates to "classics." The term functions as a label used across culture, sport, and media to denote works, performances, or events that are considered timeless, canonical, or iconic.

In culture, Klassikers can refer to literary, cinematic, and musical works that have achieved enduring recognition. Publishers may label reissues or box sets as Klassikers, broadcasters may curate programs around well-established titles, and critics use the term to discuss the canon. While Klassiker (singular) refers to a single work regarded as a classic, Klassikers (plural) points to multiple items within that category.

In sports, especially in German-speaking media, a Klassiker describes a high-profile, traditional matchup. The concept extends to a collection of notable games or rivalries within a season or across leagues. The best-known example is Der Klassiker, a term used for the fixture between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund; in plural usage, Klassikers can refer to other traditional rivalries as a group.

Outside Germany, the term is less common but may appear in translations or discussions of German-language culture and sports. It is also used in marketing and publishing as a category label for catalogs, editions, or streaming collections that curate enduring titles.
