Kjønnslikhet

Kjønnslikhet, or gender equality, is the state of equal ease of access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender, including economic participation and decision-making. It is also characterized by the absence of discrimination and prejudice on the basis of gender.

International organizations and national governments worldwide have committed to advancing kjønnslikhet through various agreements and policies, such as the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, which include a specific goal dedicated to achieving gender equality. While significant progress has been made in many areas, challenges remain in fully realizing kjønnslikhet globally.
