Kiválthatósága is a Hungarian term that translates to "substitutability" or "interchangeability" in English. It refers to the degree to which one good, service, or factor of production can be replaced by another without significantly altering the outcome or utility. This concept is fundamental in economics, particularly in understanding consumer behavior, production processes, and market dynamics.

In economics, the kiválthatósága of goods is a key determinant of price elasticity of demand. If a product has many close substitutes, its demand is likely to be highly elastic, meaning a price increase will lead to a proportionally larger decrease in quantity demanded.
