Katétrové

Katétrové refers to devices known as catheters. A catheter is a thin, flexible tube that can be inserted into a body cavity, duct, or vessel. They are commonly used in medicine for a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

Balloon catheters can be inserted into narrowed arteries and inflated to widen them, a procedure known as angioplasty.

In other medical fields, catheters can be used for drainage of fluid collections, administration of medications directly into specific areas, or for monitoring purposes. The material and design of a catheter vary depending on its intended use, with common materials including silicone, latex, and polyurethane. Proper insertion and care are crucial to prevent infection and other complications.
