Katsearuanne is a lesser-known traditional Filipino folk dance that originates from the Visayas region, particularly in the province of Cebu. The term "katsearuanne" is derived from the Cebuano word "katse," meaning "to dance," and "aruanne," which refers to a type of rhythmic clapping or hand movement often associated with the dance. This dance is typically performed during festive occasions, such as harvest celebrations, weddings, and religious festivals, reflecting the cultural and communal spirit of the region.
