Kashihara
Kashihara is a city located in Nara Prefecture, Japan. It is situated in the southern part of the prefecture and is one of its major urban centers. The city's history is deeply intertwined with the ancient periods of Japanese history, as it is believed to be the site of the first permanent capital of Japan, Fujiwara-kyō. This ancient capital was established in the late 7th century and served as the imperial seat for a period before the capital moved to Heijo-kyo (modern-day Nara).
