Kardaanvõllid

Kardaanvõllid, also known as driveshafts or propeller shafts, are a crucial component in many mechanical systems, particularly in vehicles. Their primary function is to transmit rotational power from a power source, such as an engine or transmission, to a driven component, such as a differential or axle. This transmission of power is essential for making wheels turn and propelling a vehicle or powering other machinery.

These shafts are typically constructed from strong, durable materials like steel or aluminum to withstand the significant torque and rotational forces they experience. A key characteristic of kardaanvõllid is their ability to accommodate changes in distance and angle between the connected components. This is often achieved through the use of universal joints (U-joints) or constant velocity (CV) joints at either end of the shaft.
