Karbonaattisedimentit

Karbonaattisedimentit are a type of sedimentary rock that forms through the accumulation and cementation of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) particles. They are typically composed of the mineral calcite or the more stable form aragonite, which are derivatives of limestone. These sediments are commonly generated through the skeletal remains or shells of marine organisms, such as corals, mollusks, and other invertebrates.
