Kandesagedus refers to the frequency at which a particular gene variant, or allele, occurs within a population. It is a fundamental concept in population genetics and is often expressed as a proportion or a percentage. For example, if a gene has two alleles, A and a, the kandesagedus of allele A might be 0.6, meaning that 60% of the alleles for that gene in the population are A.
