Several factors influence channel capacity. The bandwidth of the channel, which is the range of frequencies it can carry, plays a significant role; a wider bandwidth generally allows for higher capacity. Another crucial factor is the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), which represents the strength of the desired signal relative to background noise.
