Kaltabschlüsse
Kaltabschlüsse, also known as cold seals or cold closures, are a type of closure mechanism used in packaging. They are designed to create a hermetic seal without the application of heat. This is typically achieved through the use of a pressure-sensitive adhesive or a material that bonds upon contact with itself or another specific surface. The adhesive is applied to the sealing surface of the packaging material, which can be a lid, cap, or film. When the packaging is closed, pressure is applied, causing the adhesive to form a bond and create a seal.
The primary advantage of Kaltabschlüsse is their energy efficiency, as they eliminate the need for heating
