KLF
The KLF were an English electronic band formed in 1987 in London by Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty. They began as The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu (JAMs) before renaming themselves The KLF. They released music on their own label, KLF Communications, and became one of the most commercially successful and controversial acts in late 1980s and early 1990s British pop and dance music. Their work fused elements of house, techno, ambient, and heavy sampling, and they were known for provocative public stunts and striking videos. Notable singles include What Time Is Love? and 3 A.M. Eternal; their 1991 album The White Room consolidated their high-profile status.
The KLF's career was marked by a strong anti-commercial stance. In 1994, they formed The K Foundation
The acronym KLF is often said to stand for Kopyright Liberation Front, a satirical nod to copyright
