KCs
KCS is an acronym that can refer to more than one organization or concept, most prominently a North American railroad and a service-management methodology. Kansas City Southern, commonly abbreviated KCS, was a Class I freight railroad operating in the United States and Mexico, with a cross-border network that linked major markets. In 2023, KCS merged with Canadian Pacific to form Canadian Pacific Kansas City, known as CPKC, creating a transnational railroad network that connects Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The Kansas City Southern stock ticker on the New York Stock Exchange was KSU; trading on that ticker ceased after the merger.
Knowledge-Centered Service, also abbreviated KCS, is a knowledge-management approach used in IT service and customer-support environments.
