Kõnesignaal

Kõnesignaal refers to the electrical or digital representation of human speech. When a person speaks into a microphone, their voice produces sound waves that vibrate the air. A microphone converts these sound waves into an electrical signal. This electrical signal is an analog representation of the original sound. In telecommunications and digital audio, this analog signal is often converted into a digital format through a process called analog-to-digital conversion (ADC).

This digital kõnesignaal is then processed, transmitted, or stored. During transmission, it can be modulated onto a carrier wave for radio communication or sent through cables as electrical pulses. In digital systems, the signal is typically encoded using specific formats like PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) to represent the audio data efficiently. When the recipient receives the signal, a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) transforms it back into an electrical signal, which is then amplified and sent to a speaker, recreating the original sound. The quality of the kõnesignaal is determined by factors such as bandwidth, sampling rate, and bit depth during digitization, as well as the fidelity of the transmission and playback equipment. Compression techniques are often employed to reduce the amount of data required to represent the speech, making transmission and storage more efficient.
