A käännösohjelma, or translation software, is a computer program designed to translate text or speech from one language to another. Early forms of machine translation relied on rule-based approaches, analyzing grammatical structures and applying predefined translation rules. More modern systems often utilize statistical machine translation, which learns translation patterns from large datasets of parallel texts. Neural machine translation (NMT) represents the current state-of-the-art, using artificial neural networks to process and translate language in a more fluid and context-aware manner.
