JoyConohjaimet, often referred to as Joy-Cons, are the primary input devices for the Nintendo Switch video game console. They are a pair of detachable controllers that can be used in multiple configurations. Each Joy-Con is a small, rectangular controller containing an analog stick, several face buttons, a directional pad (on the left Joy-Con), and shoulder buttons. They can be attached to the sides of the Nintendo Switch console for handheld mode, used wirelessly as individual controllers, or inserted into a Joy-Con grip accessory to function as a more traditional gamepad.

The versatility of the Joy-Cons allows for various play styles. Players can use one Joy-Con in each hand for motion control-based games or to play multiplayer games with a friend. The left Joy-Con includes a capture button for taking screenshots and videos, while the right Joy-Con features an NFC reader for amiibo compatibility and an IR Motion Camera. This latter feature is utilized in certain games for unique gameplay mechanics. The Joy-Cons also incorporate HD Rumble, providing nuanced and immersive vibrations that react to in-game events. They are rechargeable by attaching them to the Switch console or the charging grip.
