Jordbruksbesprøytning, often translated as agricultural spraying or crop spraying, refers to the application of pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, or other agricultural chemicals to crops and fields. This practice is a key component of modern agriculture, aimed at protecting crops from pests, diseases, and weeds, as well as enhancing growth and yield. The chemicals are typically applied using specialized machinery, such as tractor-mounted sprayers, aerial application aircraft, or even handheld devices for smaller areas.

The purpose of jordbruksbesprøytning is multifaceted. Herbicides are used to control unwanted plants that compete with crops for resources like water, sunlight, and nutrients.
