Jogail

Jogail is a fictional city and municipality in the imagined country of Navara, situated on the Sira River near its delta. It serves as a regional administrative and economic hub, with a diversified economy and a historic core.

Jogail lies on a broad river plain at the delta of the Sira River. The area has a temperate climate with warm summers and cool winters; rainfall is highest in late spring. The city contains a historic riverfront district and newer commercial zones inland.

Jogail began as a medieval trading post and developed into a walled town by the early modern era. It gained city rights in the 15th century and grew with rail and river transport in the 19th and 20th centuries. The old town preserves canal-era architecture.

The economy is diversified, anchored by river logistics, manufacturing, and services. The port handles agricultural and mineral cargo; light textiles and machinery assembly contribute to employment; education and health services are growing sectors.

Jogail is governed by a mayor and city council within Navara's regional framework. As of 2023, the municipality had about 110,000 residents, with a mix of urban and suburban neighborhoods.

The historic center features the Saint Orbita Cathedral and the old Sira Bridge. The City Museum hosts regional archaeology and craft collections. An annual river festival draws visitors from across Navara.

The city hosts the Central University Campus of Navara and several vocational institutes. Transport links include a river port, a central railway station, and a ring road with frequent bus service.
