Jephtes
Jephtes is a figure mentioned in the Book of Judges in the Old Testament of the Bible. His story is found in Judges chapters 10 and 11. Jephtes was a Gileadite, the son of a prostitute, and his half-brothers cast him out of their home, preventing him from inheriting any land. He fled to the land of Tob, where he gathered a band of dissolute men around him.
