Émile Jaques-Dalcroze (1865–1950) was a Swiss musician and educator who established Dalcroze Eurhythmics, a comprehensive approach to music education rooted in movement. The method invites learners to experience rhythm and musical structure through movement, improvisation, sight-singing (solfege), and group activities. By coordinating physical motion with tempo, meter, phrasing, and dynamics, students develop musical understanding kinesthetically and aurally.
