Jamsetji
Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata (3 July 1839 – 19 May 1904) was an Indian industrialist and philanthropist who laid the foundations for the Tata Group, one of India's oldest and largest conglomerates. Born into a Parsi family in Navsari, Gujarat, he established Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata & Co. in 1868 as a trading firm in Bombay, which grew into a diversified enterprise with interests in textiles, mining, and later steel and power.
