Jakeluputkeen

Jakeluputkeen, also known as the "sneeze reflex," is a physiological response that occurs when irritants or allergens enter the nasal cavity. This reflex is triggered by the stimulation of sensory neurons in the nasal mucosa, which send signals to the brain via the trigeminal nerve. The brain then initiates a series of events that result in a sudden, forceful expulsion of air from the lungs, commonly known as a sneeze.

The sneeze reflex serves several purposes. It helps to clear the nasal passages of irritants, allergens, or other foreign substances, thereby protecting the respiratory system from potential infections or damage. Additionally, sneezing can help to disperse airborne pathogens, reducing the risk of transmission to others.
