Jaigad
Jaigad is a historical fort located in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, India. Situated on a coastal cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea, it is strategically positioned to command the Mandovi River estuary. The fort's construction is attributed to the Maratha ruler Shivaji Maharaj in the late 17th century, although some sources suggest earlier origins.
