Jahutuskolonn
Jahutuskolonn, often referred to as a cooling tower, is a device used to reduce the temperature of water by releasing waste heat into the atmosphere. This is typically achieved through a process of evaporative cooling. Water is pumped to the top of the tower and then allowed to trickle down over a fill material, which increases the surface area for contact with air. As air is drawn or flows through the tower, a portion of the water evaporates, taking heat with it and thus cooling the remaining water.
