Jõudlustestimise

Jõudlustestimine, commonly referred to as performance testing in English, is a non-functional software testing method that evaluates how a system performs in terms of responsiveness and stability under a particular workload. The primary goal is to determine or validate the speed, scalability, and stability characteristics of a system. This type of testing is crucial for ensuring that a software application can handle the expected load and user traffic without compromising user experience or system integrity.

There are several types of performance testing, including load testing, stress testing, endurance testing, and spike testing. Load testing verifies the system's behavior under anticipated normal and peak loads. Stress testing pushes the system beyond its normal operating limits to identify its breaking point and how it recovers. Endurance testing, also known as soak testing, checks if the system can sustain a constant load for an extended period, identifying memory leaks or other long-term stability issues. Spike testing assesses the system's response to sudden, significant increases in load.

The process typically involves defining performance goals, identifying critical business scenarios, creating test scripts, setting up the test environment, executing the tests, and analyzing the results. Performance testing helps to identify bottlenecks, optimize resource utilization, and ensure that the system meets its performance objectives.
