Ivaretoks

Ivaretoks are a digital token proposed for the Ivaret ecosystem, a blockchain-based platform intended to combine decentralized finance with digital identity management. The token functions as a unit of account, a medium of exchange for protocol fees, a stake for network security, and a governance instrument for protocol decisions.

Origins and issuance: The concept was introduced by the Ivaret Foundation in 2022 as part of a planned proof-of-stake network. The Ivaret mainnet launched in 2023. The initial supply was set at 1 billion IVT, distributed among founders (25%), the foundation treasury (30%), community grants (20%), and a private sale to early supporters (25%).

Technology and standards: Ivaretoks are implemented on the Ivaret blockchain using proof-of-stake consensus and on-chain smart contracts. They are designed to be compatible with a common token interface to enable secure transfers, staking, and interactions with decentralized applications. Transaction fees paid in IVT can fund network security and governance, with potential for selective on-chain burn as determined by governance.

Use cases and economics: Token holders can stake IVT to earn rewards and participate in validator and governance activities. The token also serves as a fee currency and access key for certain platform services. The supply is finite, with emissions tied to staking participation; governance may adjust emission and treasury spending through on-chain proposals.
