Itacoatiara is a toponym used for several places in Brazil, most prominently the Itacoatiara Beach and the Itacoatiara neighborhood in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro. Itacoatiara Beach is a crescent-shaped Atlantic shoreline known for its clear water, scenic granite cliffs, and offshore islands. The surrounding area offers trails and viewpoints, including a popular overlook often called Mirante de Itacoatiara, which provides views of the beach, the islets, and the bay.
