Istuimenlämmitys, often translated as seat heating, is a feature found in many modern vehicles. It provides warmth to the occupants of the seats, typically the front seats, during cold weather. The system works by embedding heating elements, usually resistive wires or carbon fiber pads, within the seat upholstery. When activated, an electric current passes through these elements, generating heat that is then transferred to the seat surface and the occupant.
