Iskupiikkejä

Iskupiikkejä is a Finnish term that translates to "hit spikes" or "strike spikes." It most commonly refers to a type of projectile used in the sport of Finnish baseball, known as pesäpallo. In pesäpallo, a batter attempts to hit a ball thrown by a pitcher. If the batter hits the ball in a way that it travels directly out of bounds, either over the outfield fence or outside the foul lines without being touched by a fielder, it is often referred to as an iskupiikki.
