Ioway
The Ioway, also known as the Iowa or Ioway people, are a Native American group of the Siouan language family. They historically inhabited the upper Mississippi River valley, with traditional territory in parts of present-day eastern Iowa, western Illinois, northern Missouri, and eastern Nebraska. The Ioway are closely related linguistically to the Otoe and Missouria, with whom they share the Chiwere language branch.
