Ionisidoksellisia

Ionisidoksellisia is a Finnish term that translates to "ionically bonded" in English. It describes a type of chemical bond where atoms gain or lose electrons to form ions, which are then held together by electrostatic attraction. This occurs typically between metals, which tend to lose electrons and form positive ions (cations), and nonmetals, which tend to gain electrons and form negative ions (anions).
