Ionikanavamäärääjät, often translated as ion channel regulators or modulators, are molecules that control the activity of ion channels. These channels are crucial protein structures embedded in cell membranes that allow specific ions, such as sodium, potassium, calcium, or chloride, to pass through, playing a vital role in cellular processes like nerve impulse transmission, muscle contraction, and hormone secretion.

Many drugs work by targeting ion channels, either by mimicking endogenous regulators or by blocking their action.
